In a Beautiful Day

In a beautiful day with a clean sky
The fresh earth with a green veil
The stars glittering without stopping
The happy sun doesn’t stop shining.
The summer arrives
Bringing happiness and fun
Next it is time to autumn
That brings a beautiful dream.
Immediately after, it is time for winter
With a soft eternal white touch
And, finally, the spring
Full of colours and a sincere love.
Animals waking up
Little frogs jumping
The birds with their sweet songs
The beautiful and wonderful fields.
So much happiness, so many colours!
So much fun, so many aromas!
How beautiful is nature
How pretty it is
But…
Since man destroys everything
With his products: everything being polluted…
He killed plants and animals,
Destroyed the pretty landscapes and much more!
This world is going to be ruined
With so much pollution, I can’t open my eyes!
So then we talk about deforestation,
My heart stops and falls down
I feel so oppressed that I can’t breathe
Will it be a disease? Or simply the poison of the air
That comes in us and that could kill us,
That leaves us confused and not being able to think.
I see people getting sick,
Animals at risk of disappearing.
I see temperature going up
And the ozone layer getting thinner.
I hear screams from someone that gets caught
By these problems worrying us so much,
Not letting us live!
With so many problems, will we survive?
Men set fire to forests without mercy,
Destroy what the earth has of good,
Cause so much pollution. That is the truth!
Without thinking about the wonderful gift,
The gift of being persons able to change
Step by step nothing left to the next generation.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter,
The way that leads to pollution
Keeps on destroying life
Without thinking or with some kind of intention
Since in such a polluted earth
Humans aren’t going to live for much longer!!
